On Monday, a news outlet claimed that the state police had filed a FIR against eight people, including Orry, for consuming alcohol in a banned zone in Katra.

According to police, a FIR was filed against eight people, including socialite influencer Orhan Awatramani nicknamed Orry, for allegedly consuming alcohol in a hotel in Katra.”
Anastasila Arzamaskina, a Russian national who traveled with Orry and his friends to Katra, is also among the accused. An FIR (No. 72/25) has been filed at the Katra Police Station, charging Orry, Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Ritick Singh, Rashi Dutta, Rakshita Bhogal, Shagun Kohli, and Arzamaskina as the major accused. They are accused of disobeying the District Magistrate’s ruling and reportedly offending religious sensitivities.
The Cottage Suit area in Katra, where the group allegedly drank wine, has tight prohibitions against non-vegetarian food and intoxicants because to its proximity to the Vaishno Devi shrine, one of Hinduism’s holiest pilgrimage sites.
A Reasi Police official stated that “a special squad, under the direction of SP Katra, Dy SP Katra, and SHO Katra, was constituted to examine the matter. All accused persons, including Orry, will receive notices instructing them to cooperate with the investigation. SSP Reasi has reaffirmed that anyone who violates the law, particularly by consuming alcohol or drugs at sacred sites, will face serious consequences.
