Sunny Deol’s Ghatak celebrates 28 years since its premiere in 2024. The action movie remains a fan favorite.
Sunny Deol’s film Ghatak will be rereleased in cinemas on March 21. The announcement was made on Monday via the Red Lorry Film Festival’s official Instagram page.
Sunny’s iconic action picture Ghatak, which premiered on Diwali in 1996, marked its 28th anniversary last year. The action film is still a fan favourite because to its captivating tale, outstanding actors, and memorable language.
In honor of the anniversary, the Gadar star shared an emotional video on Instagram, featuring iconic moments and memorable dialogues from the film.
Sunny also remembered the late great actor Amrish Puri, who played Kashi Nath, the film’s notorious crime boss. Amrish Puri’s performance as the frightening villain was one of Ghatak’s finest.
Sunny captioned the video, “28 years of #Ghatak! My Diwali Release from 1996! Directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi Miss you, #AmrishPuri sahab.”
Rajkumar Santoshi directed the film, which also stars Danny Denzongpa and Meenakshi Seshadri in significant parts. Released in 1996, the movie became a massive success, and Sunny’s powerful dialogue continues to be remembered even today.
