Among the attendees was Zahan’s cousin, actor Ranbir Kapoor, who came to support his family member. Ranbir sat for photographs with Zahan and director Vikramaditya Motwane. The Brahmastra actor looked great in a simple but trendy denim-on-denim ensemble. He paired a simple white T-shirt with a denim jacket and coordinating jeans, completing the look with crisp white sneakers.
Ananya Panday, Pratik Gandhi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and other celebrities attended the event.
The producers of Black Warrant posted a teaser in December of last year. The trailer showcases Zahan navigating the brutal realities of prison life as he struggles to adapt, while his colleagues push him to develop resilience. It also highlights Rahul Bhatt, seemingly portraying a strict and commanding police officer. This marks Zahan’s debut in the world of web series.
The film is co-directed by Motwane and Satyanshu Singh and stars Ambiecka Pandit, Arkesh Ajay, and Rohin Raveendran Nair. Paramvir Singh Cheema, Anurag Thakur, and Sidhant Gupta all play important roles.
The series, produced by Applause Entertainment in partnership with Andolan Production and Confluence Media, is based on the book Black Warrant: Confessions of a Tihar Jailer by Sunil Gupta, a former Tihar Jail superintendent, and Sunetra Choudhury, a journalist-author.
