Manoj Santoshi, the writer of iconic television series like ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai’ and ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’, died on Monday (yesterday).
Manoj Santoshi, the writer of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, died on Monday after a battle with liver cancer. India Forums stated that he died of liver cancer after a protracted battle with the disease. According to the story, he died on Monday (yesterday) in Aligarh, his hometown. He passed away surrounded by his family.
“Manoj died early this morning in his hometown, Aligarh. “His family was with him,” the person stated. So far, neither the production house nor the actors from Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai have confirmed the writer’s death.
Manoj Santoshi’s battle with liver cancer was revealed last month after FIR actor Kavita Kaushik made an Instagram message begging fans to pray for his recovery. She added that producer Binaifer Kohli and actress Shilpa Shinde had been there for him throughout this trying period. “You may know him as the writer of Bhabhi ji ghar par hai, Happu paltan, Jeeja ji chatth par, Madam may i come in, last few episodes of F.I.R, office office, and various other comedies…” Today, I beg you all to pray for Manoj Santoshi….as he is in the ICU with a failing liver, angels like @binaiferkohli and her entire team are trying to save him; please pray for this precious human, and a special thanks to the incredible @shilpa_shinde_official for caring for him,” she wrote in a February post.
