Producer reacts.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the film’s producer, Deepak Mukut, discussed the sequel and recent claims regarding it.

He stated, “The IP of Sanam Teri Kasam belongs to me because I am the producer. So, I own the rights to make a sequel, prequel, or remake. In reality, I announced the sequel in September 2024, with Harshvardhan Rane as the star.I have not had any discussions with the directors (Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru). They have not met and spoken with me about it. “I have not chosen a director.”

He was also asked if he had contacted Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. To which he said, “It is their responsibility to contact me rather than the other way around, especially when they are giving interviews about developing the sequel. I merely want to underline that the rights belong to me.

When questioned about the follow-up, he mentioned that the script is in the writing stage. Production is set to begin as soon as the writing process is complete.

Harshvardhan Rane recently claimed that he will consume just water for the next 11 days in preparation for the sequel.
