Sanam Teri Kasam, a romance drama from 2016 will be re-released. The film, which initially underperformed, apparently sold over 20,000 tickets during pre-sales.
After almost a decade, Sanam Teri Kasam is returning to theaters. The movie has garnered remarkable advance bookings, even outshining some of the latest releases. Starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane in lead roles, this romantic drama is set to captivate audiences once again. Teri Kasam is making a reappearance in theaters over ten years later. And, while the picture did not fare well on its first outing, it appears to be doing well this time around, based on advance reservations.
Sanam Teri Kasam allegedly sold 20,000 tickets on the first day in prominent national chains through advance ticketing. Certain platforms, including Koimoi, report that the movie has sold approximately 39,000 tickets. The figures are quite high, much higher than new releases such as Loveyapa. With ticket prices kept at a minimum, the first-day revenue should be approximately Rs 2 crore.
Harshvardhan Rane and Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane take on the lead roles in the film, which boasts a devoted fan base and a strong cult following. It’ll be re-released on February 7. Sanam Teri Kasam, directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, received positive reviews when it was released on OTT.
It is yet to be determined if the film can stand up to the success of re-releases like Laila Majnu and Tumbbad, which initially struggled to secure a theatrical release.
