Prajakta Koli tearfully shared how, at the age of 12, her parents had to break her piggy bank due to financial struggles.

Her father, Manoj Koli, revealed that in 1999-2000, he had invested a large sum of money—around ₹11 lakh—in a marketing company, but the company went bankrupt.

The actress-YouTuber became emotional as she recalled how her parents, Manoj and Archana Koli, had to break her piggy bank when they ran out of money to run the household. Speaking on the YouTube channel “Yuvaa,” Prajakta broke down in tears and asked her father if it had been difficult for him to handle the situation.

While remembering her parents’ financial struggles, Prajakta became emotional and said, “I remember when I was 12 years old, I would come back from school or tuition, and my parents would sit me down lovingly. I remember that time well because I almost felt like an adult—the way they spoke to me. They said, ‘Abbu, we are struggling a bit this month, so we need to break your piggy bank.’ I said, ‘Okay.’ They assured me, ‘Don’t worry, we will get you a new one.’ Now, as an adult, this moment feels very emotional, but back then, it didn’t seem like a sad incident—it felt normal. But now, when I am probably the same age as you were when you told me this, I want to ask you—was it difficult?”

Prajakta’s Father on Losing ₹11 Lakh
Her father, Manoj Koli, responded, “Yes… At that time, I was working in multi-level marketing. It was a new trend in India then. In 1999-2000, I invested a lot of money in that company—around ₹11 lakh, all my savings—but the company went bankrupt. After that, I had absolutely nothing left. I drove a taxi to make ends meet. Nothing was working out, and I didn’t have enough money for the household expenses. I reached out to my relatives and friends for assistance, but no one was able to help me. My last resort was breaking your piggy bank, and that money helped us manage that month’s expenses. But I can proudly say that from that point on, we supported Prajakta and kept our family running.”
