Poonam Pandey shares images of her Shahi Snan at Maha Kumbh:- ‘The devotion has left me.’

Poonam Pandey recounted her spiritual experience at the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, where she took the famous Shahi Snan and marveled at the immense sea of devoted followers.

Poonam Pandey tweeted photos of herself having a swim in the Ganga during the Maha Kumbh. During the big Maha Kumbh, millions of devotees congregate to bathe themselves in the holy Ganga and participate in the Shahi Snan. The actress shared a series of photos capturing her journey at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Poonam Pandey wore a black printed jorkin with the word ‘Mahakal,’ the mantra ‘Jai Mahakal,’ and the symbol ‘Om’ printed all over it. Lord Shiva manifests in numerous divine aspects, one of which is Mahakal. Following the dive, she performed Suryanamaskar.

She shared images capturing a fellow devotee gently applying haldi and sandalwood paste to her forehead—an age-old sacred ritual believed to invoke divine blessings.

Additionally, she posted videos of the gathering, highlighting the deep spiritual essence of the Shahi Snan, a revered occasion when countless devotees immerse themselves in the holy waters of the Ganga during this auspicious period. Immersed in the extraordinary atmosphere, she filmed the devotion of the followers and the grand spectacle of the event, embracing the profound spiritual energy of the Mahakumbh.

In addition to the Shahi Snan, she went on boat excursions, fed birds, observed the famed nighttime aartis beside the ghats, and danced with other devotees to celebrate the festival’s spiritual spirit.

Poonam expresses sympathy over the stampede tragedy.
The throng grew dramatically, resulting in a rush in which many people were injured, and some, regrettably, died. Poonam, reflecting on the tragedy, prayed for the departed souls to find peace and achieve moksha.

Poonam’s caption summarized the entire experience, from the extraordinary dedication and unshakeable faith to the sad tragedy: “Mahakumbh.” Witnessing life up close, where a 70-year-old walks barefoot for hours and faith has no bounds. I feel terribly for those who died and hope they find moksh. “The devotion here has left me speechless.”
