On day 8, the box office collection for Vicky Kaushal’s film Chhaava was ₹242 crore, marking a good start to week 2.

The film, directed by Laxman Utekar, focuses on the life of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

Chhaava box office collection day 8:- Director Laxman Utekar’s Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna starrer Chhaava has grown from strength to strength. The film has grossed ₹23 crore in India during its second week of release.

Early estimates indicate that Chhaava earned ₹23 crore net in India on its second Friday, bringing its total to roughly ₹242.25 crore net. The film opened at ₹31 crore and grossed ₹37 and ₹48.5 crore on Saturday and Sunday. The revenue increased to ₹32 crore on Wednesday, following a week of consistent performance. In week one, Chhaava earned ₹219.25 crore net in India.

Vicky Kaushal expressed his gratitude to fans for their unwavering support and affection.
On Friday, Vicky shared on Instagram that the film has received ₹310.50 crore worldwide in its first week. In a previous Instagram update, he expressed gratitude to fans for their global support of Chhaava. He stated, “All your messages, calls, and videos sharing your experience watching CHHAAVA… I’m embracing every moment with gratitude—your kindness means the world to me. I’m grateful to each and every one of you for commemorating the grandeur of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.”

Chhaava is an adaption of Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel of the same title. Dinesh Vijan, under his banner Maddock Films, produced the movie, which is inspired by the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Shivaji. Rashmika plays his wife, Yesubai Bhonsale, while Akshaye portrays Aurangzeb. Diana Penty, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Vineet Kumar Singh, and other actors also appear in the film, which was released on February 14.
