I recall there were a couple dialogues that I wanted to modify, add to, remove from, or say differently, but he said no. It was almost like “take it or leave it,” but that’s how it is. He made it obvious that if I agreed to the film, I would have to do things his way or not do it at all. That was the moment I knew I was going to do the picture.
