Is Game Changer inflating its box office stats by ₹100 crore? A film starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani has been accused of manipulation.

Ram Charan, Kiara Advani’s Game Changer, one of the most underappreciated pan-India film releases, is now the target of online hatred. Here is why.

Ram Charan and Kiara Advani’s Game Changer, which was intended to be one of the biggest releases of 2025 and had been in the works for years, is turning out to be a tremendous embarrassment for everyone involved. The S Shankar-directed film opened in theaters on January 10, and critical reception has been mixed, to say the least.

Not only that, but Ram Charan’s (now seemingly) global star power, Kiara Advani’s charisma, and S Shankar’s steel-strong reputation all failed to secure crowded theaters and, by extension, formidable or even mildly optimistic opening figures. This is the true bummer. While viewers and trade experts can comprehend a picture falling short, underperforming, or even becoming a gigantic disaster, they are plainly no longer prepared to put up with being duped when it comes to their intelligence. As a result, what has happened during Game Changer’s opening weekend in theaters has been a communal call out on the blatant manipulation of figures. And it all started with the day one global collections poster, which production house Sri Venkateswara Creations posted earlier this morning. The assertion that Game Changer earned ₹186 crores on its opening day across the globe was met with skepticism.

The film’s makers were criticized for reporting day one collections with a significant increase of over ₹100 crores, rather than the customary 10% gain. “Such an unprecedented level of deceit has never occurred in the annals of Indian cinema!” wrapped up X’s famed box office tracking page.

Game Changer has only recently in theaters, yet even the most ardent fans of Ram Charan, Kiara, and S Shankar have expressed disappointment. Do you believe the film will generate a profit on its projected budget of ₹450 crores?
