‘I couldn’t do anything about it’:- Salman Khan shares a rare glimpse into the restrictions he experienced in prison.

Salman Khan offered a rare insight into his experience behind bars. The actor recently spoke with his nephew Arhaan Khan on his personal and professional struggles on Arhaan’s podcast Dumb Biryani. This marked his debut on a podcast.

During our talk, Salman pondered on his trip. One of the most memorable moments from the interview was when the Dabangg star briefly discussed his time in prison.

Salman Khan spent time in prison.
The actor stressed the importance of hard work and discipline, pointing out that excuses—like claiming a need for sleep—only stand in the way of success.

He said, “I’m tired.” No. Get up. Regardless of how tired you are. ‘I don’t sleep’. Do not sleep. Do anything, and you will fall asleep automatically. So I don’t get this… I sleep for an hour and a half to two hours, and in a month, I sleep for seven hours.”

“Sometimes, I have a five-minute gap between shots, so I sleep on the chair. In places where I couldn’t accomplish anything, such as jail, I slept. I had no control over the situation… When it comes to your work or family, the effort that you must continue to put in… you simply need to be present for friends, family, and work,” Salman said.

Why was Salman Khan imprisoned?
Salman Khan was jailed in connection with a controversial 1998 case involving the illegal poaching of blackbucks. Salman was sentenced to five years in prison in April 2006 and confined to Jodhpur Prison. He secured his release on bail a few days afterward. In 2018, a Jodhpur court sentenced him to prison in a separate case, and the actor spent a few days in jail before being released on bail again.

Meanwhile, on the acting front, Salman will star in AR Murugadoss’ forthcoming film Sikandar, alongside Rashmika Mandanna. The movie is scheduled for release this Eid.

Last year, Salman gave a look from the Sikandar set. Along with Sikandar, Salman will appear in Kick 2 in the following months.
