Actor Allu Arjun has denied claims that he was informed by the police about a stampede and the tragic death of a woman outside Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4.

The dispute between the Hyderabad Police and the Telugu superstar escalated on Sunday when the authorities released a video aiming to prove their assertion. They alleged that despite being alerted about the crowd surge outside during the launch of his latest film, “Pushpa 2,” Allu Arjun did not leave the premises of Sandhya Theatre.

Meanwhile, a group from the city’s Osmania University vandalized Allu Arjun’s apartment seeking compensation of at least ₹1 crore for the family of the stampede victim, a 35-year-old woman whose kid is fighting for life.

Sandhya Theatre mishap: Latest Updates

1. On Sunday, a police official said he notified Arjun about the stampede and the woman’s death before asking him to leave. He claimed that the latter insisted on leaving after watching the video.

2. The aforesaid development occurred after the actor declared at a press conference on Saturday that no police officer had approached him in the theatre.

3. The 41-year-old superstar attended a press conference to answer to MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi’s allegation, which he called “character assassination.”

4. Police have charged six members of Osmania University’s Joint Action Committee with allegedly vandalizing Arjun’s home in the affluent Jubilee Hills neighborhood.

5. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Hyderabad’s West Zone, the incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, with assurance that firm measures have been implemented against those responsible.

9. While a local court remanded Allu Arjun in 14-day judicial prison, the Telangana High Court granted him four-week interim bail the same day. However, Allu Arjun had to spend the night in prison before being released this morning.
