Dhanush is returning to Hindi cinema with Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein, following his 2021 feature Atrangi Re under the same director.
Dhanush is presently filming his forthcoming Hindi film, Tere Ishk Mein, with director Aanand L Rai in Delhi. Several photos and videos of the actor rushing through Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) have circulated on social media.

Pictures and videos taken by students on campus when Dhanush was shooting for the film surfaced online. One of the photos shows him rushing through a throng while extras standing nearby stare at him. Numerous followers shared the photo on X (previously Twitter), saying that the 41-year-old actor does not need to de-age to play a college student.
Another video, purportedly filmed by a student, describes spotting Dhanush on the SRCC campus as a ‘fan girl moment’. The video features a compilation of various moments, including a scene where the actor steps out of his trailer. A segment of the video also shows him preparing to sprint when the director commands action. The art direction in the leaked films suggests that the setting is set during college elections, with his character Shankar Gurrukkal rumored to be a student leader.
About Tere Ishk Mein
Aanand and Dhanush have previously collaborated on the films Raanjhanaa (2013) and Atrangi Re (2021). Regarding thematic similarities between Raanjhanaa and Tere Ishk Mein, “It is from the world of Raanjhanaa, but is it Raanjhanaa 2?” No, it’s not. When I mention the universe of Raanjhanaa, I mean it from the creator’s point of view, and I’m focusing on the feelings that existed in Raanjhanaa.”
He also stated, “Similarly, both are tragedies, and both involve anger and rage. Love stories are multilayered; they are not only about men and women. That is why I believe it is from the planet of Raanjhanaa, as it has both. However, the storylines are not the same. Kriti Sanon takes on the role of Mukti in the upcoming film, set to hit screens later this year.
Aside from this project, Dhanush is filming Kubera alongside Sekhar Kammula in Telugu and his directorial Idly Kadai in Tamil, as well as a film with Rajkumar Periyasamy that has not yet been titled.
