Sandhya Theatre Stampede Case.
A 35-year-old lady died in a stampede at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4, where the Allu Arjun-starring film ‘Pushpa 2’ was being screened, and her eight-year-old kid was hospitalized.

Following the event, a case was filed against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management at the Chikkadpally police station under various sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in response to a complaint from the deceased woman’s relatives.

The city police detained Allu Arjun in connection with the woman’s death on December 13.

The Telangana High Court granted him interim bail for four weeks on the same day, leading to his release from a Hyderabad prison on December 14.

According to the proceedings, the complainant has called the commission’s attention to the death of a woman who was reportedly “due to lathi charge” by Chikkadpally police while accompanying Allu Arjun to a promotional concert for ‘Pushpa 2’. The complainant stated that the stampede caused “serious injuries” to the wife and her two children.

It is further alleged that the police resorted to a lathi charge and failed to make adequate arrangements during film star Allu Arjun’s entry into the theatre, leading to the woman’s death and injuries to her children, according to the statement.
