Speaking on it, Kabir Bedi said, “The tragedy of my son was that he was a very intelligent boy. He was admitted to America’s most important Information Technology College. After that, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. I have written about Siddharth’s last days in my book. There is one story. It is about how a father stops his son from committing suicide. Imagine what I must have thought. What happens in such a situation, I have written from the heart and in the end I could not win this battle. This is probably the biggest tragedy of my life,” Kabir Bedi has expressed his feelings. In 1997, his son Siddharth committed suicide at the age of 26.

Earlier, in an interview given to ‘Aaj Tak’, he had said that whatever I have written in the book, I have written from the heart. I have also written in detail the bad things that happened to me. No one will object to that. Because- it’s true; there’s nothing to hide.

Talking about the failure, he had said that I had to face a lot of losses because I made the wrong investment. All this happened when my son was struggling with schizophrenia. I tried everything I could to prevent my son from taking his own life, but I wasn’t able to save him. I felt guilty about it. At the same time, I was also facing financial crisis. I used to go for auditions; but I didn’t know what to do. Due to my condition, I lost a lot of jobs. I was emotionally devastated. How I got back on my feet from there is part of my journey.
