Saif Ali Khan stabbed: Around 2.30 a.m. on Thursday, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed numerous times by an intruder in his highrise apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra. The blade remained embedded in his spine as he was rushed to the hospital.
Saif Ali Khan, 54, who suffered six stab wounds, including one to his neck, was out of danger after an emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital, where he was transported in an auto-rickshaw following the incident outside his younger son Jeh’s room.
The entire family, including Saif Ali Khan, his wife and fellow celebrity Kareena Kapoor, and their two sons, four-year-old Jeh and eight-year-old Taimur, were in the 12-floor flat with their five housekeepers. Jeh’s babysitter, Eliyama Philip, reported to authorities that the attacker demanded ₹1 crore.
The intruder reportedly gained access to the actor’s apartment without using force, possibly entering stealthily during the night with the aim of committing a robbery, as stated by police authorities. The suspect, who fled using the staircase, remains at large.

Despite the fact that the assailant reportedly used the fire escape, it is unknown how they made their way through the house undetected and into the children’s room.

Certain reports indicated that the security personnel of the society failed to detect any unauthorized entry. Was this due to negligence, or did the invader use a flaw in the surveillance system?

Authorities are questioning Saif Ali Khan’s staff and the workers handling the ongoing renovations. They are exploring the possibility of an inside job, focusing on whether someone with routine access may have enabled the attack.
