The first footage of the attacker who allegedly stabbed Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan in his Mumbai home has surfaced. The perpetrator is captured on CCTV, staring directly into the camera while making his way down the staircase after committing the crime.

Following the event, Khan’s workers rushed him to Lilavati Hospital via auto rickshaw. Dr. Niraj Uttamani, the chief operating officer of the hospital, later informed the media that the actor suffered six injuries, two of which were severe. A surgery was undertaken to remove the knife from near his spine.
He sustained six injuries, two minor, two intermediate, and two deep; one of the injuries is on the back, near the spine… Saif suffered a serious thoracic spine injury from a knife…The physicians performed surgery to remove the knife and fix the leaking spinal fluid.
The plastic surgery team healed two serious wounds on his left hand and right side of neck. “He was secure and no longer at risk.” The actor was admitted to the ICU but will be transferred to the main ward after a day.
According to the actor’s agents, the incident was a “attempted burglary”.
An FIR was filed at Bandra police station under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 311 (robbery with intent to cause murder or grievous bodily harm), 331 (4) (home break-in or trespass at night), and other applicable laws.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that despite the tragedy, Mumbai remained a secure city.
“I believe Mumbai is the safest megacity in the country. “Indeed, events occasionally take place, and they need to be addressed with utmost seriousness.” However, claiming that such tragedies have rendered Mumbai unsafe is incorrect. The government, he assured, will do everything possible to enhance the city’s safety.
