Actor Saif Ali Khan was hurt after a robber broke into his and wife Kareena Kapoor’s Bandra (west) home and allegedly stabbed him. The incident took place at half-past two in the morning. on Thursday, as the actor was resting in his home with his other family members.
The authorities reported that the burglar ran off when the residents of the house stirred, and they are actively searching for him. The Bandra police are in the midst of filing a FIR, and various police teams have been established to track for the offender.
Police Comment
A senior IPS officer verified the event, saying, “Saif Ali Khan has been brought to the Lilavati hospital and is receiving treatment. It is unclear whether he was stabbed or injured in the altercation with the robber. We’ve been examining the issue, and the Mumbai Crime Branch is conducting a separate investigation into the matter at the same time.
Details regarding his injuries
Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, stated, “Saif was attacked by an unidentified person at his home.He was brought in around 3:30 a.m. in Lilavati. He has six injuries, two of which are deep. One of the injuries is near his spine. We’re performing surgery on him. He is being operated on by neurosurgeon Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Leena Jain, and anesthetist Nisha Gandhi. We shall learn the degree of the harm only after the surgery is completed.”
Dr. Uttamani further stated that another damage to Saif’s neck is currently being assessed. He stated that the procedure began at 5.30 a.m. and is still being completed.
A doctor at Leelavati Hospital, who requested anonymity, informed that they discovered a piece of knife in the body and are still investigating the extent of the injuries. Despite this, the actor can still move his limbs, suggesting that his spine remains in good condition.
According to Lilavati Hospital sources, one of the injuries was deep and required 10 stitches, but it did not impair his spine. “He was extremely fortunate that the stabs had not harmed any essential organs. He seems to have been stabbed while trying to stop a robbery. Two injuries are deep, two are medium, and two are superficial.”
The actor’s family is with him in the hospital. Kareena and Saif, who have been married since 2012, reside at the Satguru Sharan building in Mumbai’s Bandra West. The pair has two sons, Taimur, aged 8, and Jeh, aged 4, who reside with them.
