He further stated that all significant areas, like as pandals, camps, tent cities, Sangam, and Sanskriti Gram, are under constant police’s monitoring.

Anti-drone system, drones maintain 24-hour observation.
In order to improve security during the mela an innovative anti-drone system has been triggered manned by a team of qualified professionals. Along with this 20 high-tech drones have been deployed to conduct continuous 24/7 observation.

These drones will provide real-time data from all 25 sectors of the mela capturing every detail of the crowd with a single click ensuring a thorough and efficient surveillance system.

The enhanced Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) will deliver essential insights to optimize traffic management and improve crowd control strategies.

The Kumbh Mela draws a diverse crowd, ranging from disciplined spiritual leaders like saints and sadhus to reclusive hermits who emerge from solitude to join the celebrations.

The draw of the Kumbh goes beyond India, attracting international celebrities like as actor Richard Gere, director David Lynch, and Tibetan Buddhist leader Dalai Lama.

UNESCO added the Kumbh Mela to its Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list in 2017.

Gathering for salvation and purification.
The Kumbh Mela, celebrated every three years in four locations along India’s sacred rivers, draws millions of pilgrims. The “maha” Kumbh, which occurs once every 12 years, is considered more auspicious and attracts the greatest crowds. Devotees believe that swimming in these rivers during the mela forgives sins and frees them from the cycle of life and death.
